The GORE-TEX® membrane is bonded to a lightweight fabric which means it is then freely suspended between the outer fabric and the lining. This had a twofold outcome for us. The first being that since the waterproofing isn’t laminated to the polyester ripstop and stretch twill outer shell, we were able to play around with the outer shell materials, to create something unique. The second being a cleaner-finished product. Since the membrane is floating, the stitches are hidden making the Potential GTX’s outsides what they are.
